Meet the founders

“We started Health Food Wall from a frustration. How is the unhealthy option available at every corner whilst the healthy option is expensive, takes time or is hard to find? With Health Food Wall we created a fast and easy way to eat healthy food that is also good for the planet and its inhabitants.



Anouk studied in the United States when she was 17 and got into fitness and health when she got back (with an additional 20 pounds). She studied Nutrition and Dietetics to help others make healthier choices after she successfully lost the weight and felt better than ever. She worked as a chef and excitement for delicious and healthy food grew from there. Tom studied Hospitality and while working for large catering companies he learned that food connects people. He learned to love and understand what it takes to run a successful business operation in the challenging catering field before joining Health Food Wall.”

Introduction

We were shocked there were only two choices..

We were shocked that there were two choices: food that was slow, expensive, and fresh—or fast, cheap, and unhealthy.

Inspired by vending machines we saw an opportunity to create a business where good food can literally be found at every corner. In 2019 we opened our first Foodwall at Schiphol Airport and served our first customers with a vision to reimagine vending for good.

Sustainability

How we are practicing sustainable business

Every year, around 2 billion pounds of food get discarded in The Netherlands. Unsold products from our Fridges are donated to selected partners. We're member of Samen Tegen Voedselverspilling, a platform where we continually learn about this intricate but vital aspect of our business.

Nutritious food can bring about significant transformations: a meal plan incorporating more plant-based and fewer animal-derived items is beneficial, sustainable, and advantageous to both humankind and our environment. It need not be an absolute switch, but minor modifications can have a broad and positive influence. Our service can contribute to your CO2-impact goals.

Our current food system is not build for long term sustainability and health. The need for a better food system has never been more important. That's why w'eve made a promise to do more for the planet with our plant-based menu, without comprimising on taste or price.
