Starting Friday, August 30, patients, visitors and staff at the Hoorn and Purmerend locations can use Health Food Wall. The Health Food Wall Fridges will replace the current soda/snack vending machines. In this way the Dijklander Ziekenhuis is getting closer and closer to the goals in their nutritional vision.
Dijklander Ziekenhuis offers good nutrition to patients, visitors and employees. They are affiliated with Voorhoede Ziekenhuizen van Goede Zorg Proef Je and aim for a complete healthy food offer. Because healthy food helps prevent illness, but also contributes to recovery. By collaborating with experts in the field of health and nutrition, our food offerings are unparalleled in quality and taste.

In Health Food Wall their employees and patients will find quick, easy and healthy takeaway products. They will replace the current soda/snack vending machines. In this way the Dijklander Ziekenhuis is getting closer and closer to the goals in their nutritional vision.
As Voorhoede Ziekenhuis Goede Zorg Proef Je, we are committed to a healthy diet for patients, visitors and employees. In 2030 we want to meet the goals of the Nationaal Preventie akkoord: 80% of the food we offer fits into theSchijf van Vijf of the Voedingscentrum. We are also working on increasing the range of plant-based products, one of the objectives of the Green Deal Care. The offer of the Health Food Wall is healthy, sustainable and plant-based and therefore fits perfectly with our objectives. We have chosen a vending machine at our staff restaurants and at our ERs. Thus, the Health Food Wall 'unburdens' us: there is a 24/7 supply of drinks, fresh sandwiches and wraps and tasty snacks available for our patients, visitors and employees. Via the app, you can see from your workstation which products are available and checkout very easily. The dynamic price based on the expiration date also reduces waste!
The Health Food Wall is also a nice 'signboard' for our nutritional vision: we entice people to consume healthy alternatives than the 'standard' vending machine assortment, thus contributing to a healthy eating environment.
